Sustainability program ramps up at Petersburg plant

The team at the Amsted Seals facility in Petersburg, VA, has introduced a rubber recycling program as part of our ongoing commitment to sustainability.

So far the team has successfully diverted 27 pallets, or about 37,000 pounds, of material from the landfill. This amount of material will be accumulated at least twice per year given the current volumes, diverting a total of approximately 74,000 pounds of rubber from the landfill each year.

While we are proud of this accomplishment, we are continuing to look for additional ways to reduce our carbon footprint in Petersburg and at all our locations across the globe.
